Celebrating International GIS Day

GIS day is a worldwide event that celebrates the technology of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Geospatial Society at Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad brings second Geospatial Hackathon in affiliation with National Centre of GIS and Space Applications (NCGSA).
This 3-day event aims to connect and empower students, Geospatial/GIS Analyst, Developers And Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from all over Pakistan to design solutions for the world's toughest challenges being faced today.
Participants will propose and develop geospatial solutions/prototypes to the problems and challenges faced by humanity these days in the domains of Sustainable Development Goals (5,6 & 13).

"Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all."
SDG 13: Climate Action
"Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts."
The Geohackathon will result in innovative and actionable GIS solutions to the world's most pressing sustainability concerns.
